Villa Nannia is a private Tuscan villa near the sea, immersed in an exclusive pine forest called Roccamare. Villa Nannia is just 250 metres from the sandy beaches of the Maremma and just a few minutes drive from the town Castiglione della Pescaia.
Contact Us!Roccamare is a modern town developed during the 1900s, after the last reclamation of the Maremma, following the project of parcelling the pine forest, generally defined as “gated community". Starting from 1963 about two hundred villas have been built, and during the seventies and eighties the works have been successfully completed. Villa Nannia was designed by the Florentine famous architect Roberto Monsani, well known in the Maremma, in particular in Castiglione della Pescaia. In fact in the seventies Villa Nannia was born from his name, taking part of the residential plan of Roccamare. Monsani's villas' creations have been included in textbooks due to their peculiarities, especially for their futuristic characteristics, and many of its houses have received reviews in various specialized publications. The villa fits into the environmental context creating continuity between exterior and interior, with the use of stained glass windows and walls in opaque white bricks, which by insisting on the interlocking play cross orthogonally creating a labyrinthine effect that recalls that of the dense pine forest.
Villa Nannia is immersed in the beautiful pine forest of Roccamare, part of the natural park and the private beaches’ area. The entire environment is enclosed to the general public, with a concierge at the entrance that controls those who enter the pine forest. The area is in fact only accessible to the owners and their guests. The villa, built in white bricks, is surrounded by a lovely and well-cared garden of grass, and very tall pine trees. The garden joins the edges of the other residences, while remaining a private and secure space. Outside the terrace is gathered, with a spacious table and the relaxation area. Part of this area is completely covered with pine trees, which make the environment a refreshing place to take a rest away from the heat. The area is also provided with a fireplace, which allows you to make a barbecue. The sea with the white beach (one of the best in Tuscany), is only 250 meters from the villa, where it is possible to find a private hut and bungalow, available only to guests of Villa Nannia. Total privacy is guaranteed as access to the beach is limited to the owners of the villas in this area. Take a precious moment to feel yourself and relax with the ones you love!
